A man who pointed a gun at police during a bail check in Manurewa is on the run in a stolen car and should not be approached.
Police said the incident occurred when two officers went to a South Auckland address around 11am to carry out a bail check.
"While doing this, they have been confronted by a different male who lives at the address, he presented what is believed to be a firearm at staff."
No shots were fired and the officers left the property to call for assistance.
The man then left the address in a stolen vehicle, a Hyundai iX35, registration: HLY442.
