Man killed in Morrinsville crash - 12 dead in 5 days

A horror week on the roads has continued with a man dying in a crash in Morrinsville.

Emergency services were called to the crash on Studholme St near Goodwin Ave about 3.55pm.

The car had crashed into a fence and the sole occupant of the car died at the scene.

The Serious Crash Unit is investigating and the road is closed.

Diversions and traffic control are in place.

This is the twelfth death on New Zealand roads since Friday.
