Save A man was killed when his car smashed into a Hawke's Bay bridge this afternoon.
Emergency services were called about 3.20pm after the crash on Tuki Tuki Bridge in the Hastings district.
Police spokesman Mark Oliver said the man, the car's sole occupant, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The
bridge was closed this afternoon but had since reopened, Mr Oliver said.
