Man killed in crash near Palmerston North named

A man killed in crash near Palmerston North on Sunday has been named as 57-year-old Gary Peacock from Wanganui.

Mr Peacock died after the car he was in collided with a truck and trailer unit on State Highway 3 between Oroua Rd and Hansens line about 4.30pm.

Police said the driver of the truck was shaken but uninjured.

The police serious crash unit was investigating.
