Man killed after tractor rolls

A Northland man killed after his tractor rolled while he was towing an effluent tanker on a farm near Dargaville has been named.

He was 50-year-old Frank Oud from Tangiteroria.

Mr Oud, a contract milker, was towing an effluent tanker on a hillside when the tractor rolled about 10am, police said.

He was found underneath the tractor by the farm owner and died shortly later.

The police serious crash unit attended the scene and the death has been referred to the coroner.

The Department of Labour was also investigating the crash.
