Man hospitalised after stabbing in Southland

A man was stabbed at a property on Boyne St, Bluff this morning.

A man who was stabbed in the early hours of this morning is awaiting surgery in Southland Hospital.

The man was stabbed in the arm at a property on Boyne St in Bluff.

Police said they were called to the scene about 12.22am today and found the man with moderate injuries.

He was taken to hospital.

A 23-year-old woman was arrested at the scene and appeared in Invercargill District Court today charged with assault.

She will reappear on November 30.

No one else was being sought in relation to the assault, police said.
