A teenager found unconscious in the Auckland suburb of Remuera last night has been identified.
Police issued a public plea for help after the 17-year-old was found without any identification on him.
Detective Senior Sergeant Andrew Saunders said the teen's family were now with him in hospital and the investigationwas continuing.
Police would like to speak to anyone who was in the vicinity of Peach Parade, Remuera, between the hours of 5pm and 9pm yesterday who may be able to assist in this investigation.
The man, thought to be aged between 18 and 25, was found on Peach Parade at 8.40pm yesterday. He was taken to Auckland City Hospital by ambulance and remains there in an induced coma.
