Man drowns off Muriwai after jet ski fall

A man has died when he drowned after falling off his jet ski off Muriwai Beach, 45km west of downtown Auckland, tonight.
Senior Sergeant Anthony Edwards of northern police communications said emergency services were alerted to the incident at 6.40pm.
Local surf rescue staff tried to help the
man when they saw he was in difficulty, however, he died a short time later.
Details about the man would be issued later, Mr Edwards said.
