Man dies while swimming at Riwaka River in Tasman District

The man died while swimming in the Riwaka River.

A man has died after getting into trouble swimming in the Riwaka River, in the Tasman District.

He was swimming in the river at the north end of Riwaka Valley Road, and police were advised around 5.40pm.

The man's death will be referred to the Coroner.
