A staff member at the police college near Wellington has died after getting into difficulty in the swimming pool this afternoon.
Wellington police district command centre Inspector Mike Coleman said it appeared the man was swimming in a pool during lunchtime at the college, in Porirua.
Wellington Free Ambulance attendedthe scene about 12.40 and fire fighters were also called to help paramedics.
