A woman has been charged with assault and will appear in court today following the death of a man in Auckland yesterday.
The woman was known to the man and would appear in the Manukau District Court this morning, police said.
Screams could be heard coming from a Howick house on Willoughby Ave, where a pregnant woman allegedly stabbed her partner yesterday afternoon.
At around 4.30pm, a neighbour heard screams then saw police pull up to the house within minutes. It is understood the woman stabbed her partner during a heated argument.
The man died while being taken to hospital, police said.
The name of the man would be released once next of kin had been notified.
