Man dies after bulldozer rolls down 80m bank in Wellington

A man has died after the bulldozer he was driving rolled in Wellington.

The machine rolled about 80m down a bank in Makara just before midday.

Police quickly responded, with initial reports the driver was trapped inside.

The Serious Crash Unit has been working with the Fire Service at the scene to reach the vehicle with ropes.

WorkSafe has been notified about the incident.
