Man crushed to death by heavy vehicle

A man has apparently been crushed to death by a heavy vehicle in South Auckland.

A 35-year-old man was found dead at around 3.30pm by a staff member at the premises on Trugood Dr in East Tamaki.

Inspector Kay Lane says it is not exactly clear what has happened, but it appears a heavy vehicle has crushed the man. She says it is not known if he was an employee or a visitor to the business.

Emergency services and OSH investigators are at the scene.
