Man crushed by tractor named

Police have named the orchardist killed when his tractor rolled and crushed him in the Bay of Plenty.

John Marshall, 53 of Te Matai Road, Te Puke, was believed to have been spraying gorse on his property last Tuesday when his tractor rolled crushing him and killing him instantly.

His body was not found until sometime later.

Senior Sergeant Glenn Saunders, of Tauranga police, said police and the Department of Labour were conducting their own investigations and the death had been reported to the coroner.
