Man critically ill after party stabbing

A man is in a critical condition in Auckland hospital after being stabbed during a fight at a party in West Auckland last night.

Police said the 20-year-old was stabbed twice in the stomach with a knife during an altercation with another man about midnight.

The victim was taken to hospital by ambulance.

Police are speaking to all the people who attended the party in Holmes Drive, Massey, and said several witnesses had already given statements.

A cordon has been placed around the house and police remain at the scene.
