Man critical after Snells Beach stabbing

A man is fighting for his life after being stabbed north of Auckland last night.

Police said the man in his late 30s was at a Dawson Road property in Snells Beach when he was attacked about 8.30pm.

He was flown by Westpac Rescue Helicopter to Auckland Hospital.

A hospital spokeswoman said he was in a critical condition in the hospital's department of critical care.

Police said they were speaking with a number of people at the property and were not looking for anyone else in relation to the incident.
