Man critical after becoming trapped in rolled ute

A helicopter is at the scene of a rolled ute in South Taranaki.

Emergency services were called just before midday to an accident on Kiri Road in Te Kiri.

One man was trapped in the upside down ute when emergency services arrived.

Police say no other vehicles were involved in the accident.

The man is in a critical condition and being transferred to Taranaki Base Hospital.
