Man comes off motorbike, run over by SUV

A motorcyclist suffered serious injuries after coming off his bike and being run over by an SUV in the Coromandel this morning.

Emergency services attended the scene on State Highway 25 near Whangamata at 9.15am, where a 29-year-old man came off his motorbike and was run over by an oncoming SUV.

He suffered serious leg and shoulder injuries and was flown by helicopter to Waikato Hospital.
