A 22-year-old man has been charged with the murder of mum-of-two Chozyn Koroheke.
Koroheke, also 22, was fatally shot at close range on Tuesday, April 4 at an address in Pakuranga Heights.
The man handed himself into Manukau Police Station late yesterday evening and is expected to appear in the Manukau District Court tomorrow morning.
Police have not named the man, but after Koroheke died they were hunting a 22-year-old as part of the investigation into the shooting.
The investigation into the alleged murder is ongoing but police believe it is a domestic-related incident.
Alongside the 22-year-old police have charged a 47-year-old man and a 24-year-old with being an accessory after the fact of murder.
The Herald can reveal the 47-year-old is the father of the alleged murderer.
The woman is understood to be a friend of the accused killer.
Earlier in the investigation police arrested three other people on unrelated matters.
The men, aged 27, 30 and 30, have been charged with unlawful possession of a firearm.
Police cannot rule out the possibility that they will face further charges.
"Police would like to take this opportunity to thank the media and our community for the assistance they provided during our investigation," a spokeswoman said.
As the matter was now before the courts, police could not comment further.
