Man burned after lawnmower explodes

Save A man has been taken to hospital after suffering burns when the lawnmower he was using exploded today.
Emergency services were called to a Mangere address just before 11am today.
The man suffered serious burns to his body and was taken to Middlemore Hospital in a status 2 condition.

Fire Service spokesman said firefighters attended the incident "briefly". Police were not called.
It was not clear what caused the explosion.
