Man arrested after Wellington house fire

A man has been arrested following a house fire north of Wellington this morning, which is being treated as a domestic incident.

Emergency services were called to the blaze at a property on Revans St, Featherston, around 5.30am.

No injuries were reported to police or the Fire Service.

One man has been arrested, Mark Oliver, acting shift commander at the police central communications centre, said.

"It [the fire] appears to be domestic related," he said.

Fire Service shift commander David Meikle said three fire trucks - two from Featherston and one from Greytown - were sent to tackle the blaze.

Fire investigators were at the scene, working with police, to determine the cause of the fire, Mr Meikle said.
