Man arrested after knife incident at PM's office

A 46 year old man has been arrested and charged with possession of a knife after an incident at the Kumeu electorate office of Prime Minister John Key, who is also the local MP.

Police said the incident happened at about 3.52pm today.

Nobody was injured and the Prime Minister was not at the office at the time.

The man is in police custody and will appear in the Waitakere District Court tomorrow.
