Save Police managed to stop a stolen vehicle being driven the wrong way down a busy Auckland motorway.
Police officers in an Eagle helicopter spotted the red ute near Glen Eden, in West Auckland, about 3.30pm.
A police spokeswoman told the Herald the Eagle continued to follow it as staff on
the ground rushed to stop it.
"At one point it drove the wrong way on the motorway,'' the spokeswoman said.
"We deployed road spikes and stopped it in Onehunga.''
