A Featherston man was airlifted to Wellington Emergency Department after suffering a suspected heart attack on Saturday morning.
Featherston Fire Brigade volunteers assisted the man at a Fox St address around 11am, before paramedics transferred him to Card Reserve to await Life Flight's Westpac Rescue helicopter.
The man's wife, whoasked not to be named, said her husband had had a heart attack.
She accompanied her husband, who was in a stable condition, to Wellington.
