The man, in his 60s, was in a life-threatening condition when the Palmerston North rescue helicopter took him to Palmerston North Hospital on Wednesday morning.
A spokesman for the rescue helicopter said the man had suffered aserious medical event and was in a serious condition when the helicopter, which had two paramedics onboard, arrived.
