Man, 73, on sex charges from up to 38 years ago

A 73-year-old man will face 13 counts of rape, sodomy and indecently touching girls when he appears in the Tauranga District Court tomorrow.

The charges date to between 1964 and 1974 at Wainuiomata, and allegedly involve two victims.

Interim name suppression and bail were granted when the man appeared before a community magistrate in Tauranga on Saturday.
