Auckland police are warning of "inevitable" delays on the city's North Western motorway after an extensive diesel spill this afternoon.
The spill is between Rosebank Road and Te Atatu Road, on the westbound side of the motorway, away from Auckland City.
There are some very large patches of diesel over
a 10 kilometre stretch of motorway, with the surface described as "very slippery".
Police are advising motorists to use extreme caution.
While contractors are now on their way to clear the spill, police say delays are inevitable.
