Magazine announces winner of best cafe award

A relative newcomer to the scene has taken out Cafe Magazine's Best Cafe Award.

It is Groove Kitchen in the heart of Napier.

Cafe Magazine says the food is superb and the decor is predominately white and minimalist.

It says there is also a triple turntable deck for DJs such as owner Ben Simcox to strut their stuff, and a video camera on the coffee machine which projects pictures onto a wall.

Runner up is Auckland's Richmond Road Cafe in Grey Lynn.
