One lucky punter from Porirua has woken up $1 million richer today after cashing in on yesterday's live Lotto draw.
The winning ticket was sold at Waitangirua Four Square, in Porirua, a spokeswoman from Lotto said.
After Lotto ditched its Big Wednesday draw at the start of October, players havehad two chances a week to win big.
A Strike player from Auckland also won $500,000, with the winning ticket being sold at Magazine City and Lotto, in Auckland.
Lotto's Spring Promotion begins tomorrow with 100 extra prizes up for grabs, ranging from $10,000 to $100,000. All tickets purchased between 15-28 October are eligible.
