Save A firefighter has been injured dealing with a blaze at a state house in Lower Hutt last night.
Emergency services were called to the two-storey property on Hampton Court at 9.30pm.
It took 36 firefighters two hours to put the flames out and one received minor injuries.
Fire Service shift
manager Belinda Beets says the fire is being treated as suspicious.
She says the house was an unoccupied Housing New Zealand unit.
