Lotto Powerball: $45 million jackpot unstruck, rolls over to Saturday

This evening’s $45 million Powerball jackpot was not struck and will roll over to Saturday’s draw.

Tonight’s numbers were 30, 18, 10, 27, 4 and 19. The bonus ball was 32 and the Powerball number was 8.

The combined prize pool was $46.2m – $45m in Powerball, $1m in First Division and $200,000 in Strike Four.

Six people split First Division’s $1m prize, taking home $166,667 each.

Another 20 players won $32,541 each in Second Division.

One lucky player also won this evening’s Strike Four prize, bagging $200,000.

‘We’re forecasting 1.5 million tickets to be sold’

Before this evening’s draw, Lotto NZ urged players to buy their tickets early.

“Stores are likely to be busy on Wednesday afternoon, as will MyLotto in the evening, so we recommend people avoiding those peak times if they can,” Lotto NZ head of corporate communications Will Hine said on Tuesday.

“We’re forecasting 1.5 million tickets to be sold.

“We are also encouraging our players to remember that big jackpots still have small odds, and one ticket is enough to be in the draw.

“Last year, 52% of our sales were in-store and 48% were online.”

What to do if you win

Ticket holders can see immediately if they have won if they purchased a ticket through MyLotto. Prizes of $1000 or less are automatically credited to the account.

For prizes exceeding $1000, winners must complete an online prize claim form.

Winners with a physical ticket must still visit a Lotto retailer to claim their prize.

For the Powerball jackpot to be claimed, a ticket holder must get all six Lotto numbers correct as well as the added Powerball number.
