Lotto has also called on residents of Westport to check their tickets because one could be worth half a million dollars.
A ticket bought at New World Westport for the November 1 draw has won $500,000 and still has not been claimed.
“With the holidays coming up fast, we’d love to find this winner and get them paid and celebrating.” said Will Hine, Head of Corporate Communications at Lotto NZ.
This evening’s draw came just weeks after a record-breaking $55m Lotto draw.
That life-changing prize was split between three players, with each taking home $18.3m.
One of the tickets was sold at New World Kawerau and its owner, Clare Gallagher, said the town’s residents were “really excited about some great news for Kawerau”.
The other two winning tickets were sold at Pak’nSave Moorhouse in Christchurch and through the MyLotto app to an Auckland punter.
What to do if you win
Ticket holders can see immediately if they have won if they purchased a ticket through MyLotto. Prizes of $1000 or less are automatically credited to the account.
For prizes exceeding $1000, winners must complete an online prize claim form.
Winners with physical tickets must still visit a Lotto retailer to claim their prize.
For the Powerball jackpot to be claimed, a ticket holder must get all six Lotto numbers correct as well as the added Powerball number.
