Lotto: Auckland and Ōtaki players split Christmas Eve First Division draw

Two lucky Lotto players received an early Christmas present after splitting last night’s First Division $1 million prize pool.

The winners, from Auckland and Ōtaki, netted $500,000 each in Wednesday’s draw.

The lucky numbers were 18, 2, 33, 23, 17 and 28. The bonus ball was 31 and the Powerball was 7.

The winning tickets were sold at New World Pukekohe and New World Ōtaki.

Ten people won $27,621 in the Second Division, with winning tickets sold in Ashburton, Auckland, Christchurch, Ōtorohanga, Taupō and Wellington.

One Taupō player also won the Powerball second division, upping their takings to $46,184.

Powerball has rolled over, with a jackpot of $5m up for grabs on Saturday night.

Strike Four has also rolled over and will be worth $400,000 this weekend.

What to do if you win

Ticket holders can see immediately if they have won if they purchased a ticket through MyLotto. Prizes of $1000 or less are automatically credited to the account.

For prizes exceeding $1000, winners must complete an online prize claim form.

Winners with physical tickets must still visit a Lotto retailer to claim their prize.

For the Powerball jackpot to be claimed, a ticket holder must get all six Lotto numbers correct as well as the added Powerball number.
