Long recovery ahead

A Hamilton bus driver who was run over by his own bus has a long recovery ahead of him, his wife says.

Ross John McSheffrey was critically injured when he was run over by the bus on Wednesday. Yesterday his wife, Trish McSheffrey, said support from friends and family had been overwhelming.

Sergeant Craig Taylor said it appeared Mr McSheffrey had parked his bus with the vehicle in gear and when it moved forward he tried to stop it but was run over.
