Former All Black Jonah Lomu has married his long-time partner in Wellington. Lomu, 35, and Nadene Quirk, 33, chose to wed in New Zealand rather than France where they're based, so his father could join the celebration.
Semisi Lomu has diabetes, kidney, liver and heart problems and was told last November he "wasn't likely to see Christmas", the former rugby star told Woman's Weekly. "It was important to have the family together."
The couple exchanged vows on a clifftop in an unconventional ceremony. The bride wore a green Roberto Cavalli dress, the couple arrived together, and the service doubled as a memorial to their dog.
Sons Brayley, 2, and Dhyreille, eight months, had key roles.
