Logging truck crash blocks part of State Highway 27

A logging truck's trailer has rolled in Waikato, sending logs sprawling across both lanes.

Northern fire communications shift manager Jaron Phillips says the trailer is on its side and is currently blocking the southbound lane of State Highway 27.

The crash occurred at the intersection of SH27 and Ngarua Rd, east of Morrinsville, just after 8am.

Both SH27 and Ngarua Rd are partially blocked with logs.

Morrinsville fire brigade is currently on its way to the scene, while a St John Ambulance crew is on its way to check the condition of the driver.
