Lockdown lifted from Auckland Housing NZ and Public Trust offices

Auckland's Housing NZ and Public Trust offices are open again after earlier going into lockdown when a threat was made.

The Greenlane building shared by the government agencies went into lockdown after a threat was made against a Public Trust office employee

"As a precautionary measure, we put the store into a voluntary lockdown," a Public Trust spokesman said.

"We now have security on site so we have lifted that voluntary lockdown."

A Housing NZ spokesman said at the time its employees were also following lockdown procedures.

"Staff are staying where they are, the building is on secure access only, no one is coming or going from their floor at the moment," he said.

"So they are basically staying clear of the area under threat."

Police said they were not called to the incident.
