Lisa Lewis sells her underwear to pay bills

An escort has resorted to selling her underwear online after an attack which will keep her out of work for at least six months.

Lisa Lewis, 30, had her teeth knocked out last month during a house-warming party at her Cambridge home last month.

Yesterday she found out that it would be months before her mouth could be fixed or she would be able to speak normally again.

Her boyfriend, Drew Cocker, is also auctioning his underwear online.

The couple said they have been put under "enormous financial pressure" after being forced to stop work because of the attack - Ms Lewis because of the attack, and Mr Cocker, because he had to care for her and her 6-year-old son Jaden.

Ms Lewis gained fame after streaking in a bikini during an All Black game.

Yesterday, Remuera dental surgeon Allan Baker pre-drilled holes to prepare for root canals and cleaned Ms Lewis' teeth, but he could do little else to fix her missing teeth because of the injuries.

Ms Lewis listed her underwear on Trade Me as "G-string raising money after assault", and wrote saying she was "knocked out shaky and cold" and left "waiting, lying on the middle of the road" after the attack.

"Since the attack, I have been in a neck-brace," she said.

"My teeth are now under six months of dentistry work and ... my fear of people and their intentions at the moment is a major apprehension".

Ms Lewis said ACC is only expected to cover about 75 per cent of the cost and she will be left with "thousands more" to pay.

"I can't work, but I can sell my clothing ... I am not ashamed, at the end of the day, most of us wear underpants," she wrote on her listing.

A 39-year-old man, who has name suppression, has been arrested for the assault and the matter will be heard in court on October 17.
