Link with VTNZ puts Motorplex on track

Masterton Motorplex is hoping for a windfall from people who get their warrants of fitness from VTNZ stations.

Everybody who pays VTNZ in cash can request $5 of their payment be donated to the "Masterton Motorplex Cash Account".

The Masterton Motorplex is raising money towards a new drag strip.

Vehicle inspector Scott Miller said he thought Masterton Motorplex would be the ideal candidate for the project - initiated by the company - so he put the name forward.

Mr Miller said everything is now "up and running," and a few people have donated cash already.

He said he has been promoting the idea to his networks, and some of his friends are taking their vehicles to VTNZ especially to get their warrants.

"The response is they are quite keen to see VTNZ help out Masterton Motorplex," he said.
