Light plane crashes in West Melton, Canterbury

Emergency services are currently attending a light plane crash in West Melton, Canterbury.

A police spokeswoman said it was called to the crash at 4.09pm on Weedons Ross Rd, in the Selwyn District.

St John Ambulance and Fire and Emergency services were also called to the scene.

A St John spokesman said there were no injuries.
