"There were really interested. There were some good questions," she said.
"A lot of them know Castlepoint and some were there for the centennial."
Ms Horsham said it was really great to see some dads taking part in the craft session, and it appeared everybody had a great time.
One child also received a signed copy of the book.
Ms Horsham said that, apart from the planned activities, the library had been busy over the holidays, which had been fantastic to see. "It's been really busy over the holidays and a lot of kids are coming and taking out books," she said.
There will also be another craft session held at the library from 10.30am next Wednesday.
