A number of agencies are pleased after several licensed premises passed a controlled purchase operation in the Tasman area last week.
Police, the Nelson Marlborough District Health Board, and the Tasman District Council, conducted the operation last Friday.
Two 16-year-old volunteers visited 16 licensed premises, in Richmond, Mapua, Brightwater, Wakefield
and Tapawera.
Police said none of the premises sold alcohol to the underage volunteers.
Liquor Licensing Sergeant Malcolm Drummond said the result was very pleasing.
