Lexus models top poll among satisfied customers

Lexus vehicles scooped the pool in the J D Power customer satisfaction and quality awards in Britain and the United States.

In Britain, Lexus finished first in customer satisfaction for the second year in a row. The study rated the IS200 Lexus (above) the best luxury car and the runner-up overall. More than 144 models were surveyed.

The results prompted Autocar magazine to comment: "Choose a Japanese car. Consider making it a Toyota or Lexus. They're the conclusions you'll quickly reach if you are in the market for a new car and you have the results from the J D Power index of customer satisfaction to help guide your selection." In the quality survey in America, Lexus models GS300, LS430 and LX470 all topped their segments. The Lexus plant in Japan received the platinum award for the world's best quality.
