Lego run: Christchurch mum sets world record for 100m barefoot race

A New Zealand mum has broken the world record for the fastest 100m barefoot run over Lego bricks.

Gabrielle Wall completed the feat in 24.75 seconds in her hometown of Christchurch.

The track was made from 300kg of Lego donated by education charity Imagination Station.

Breaking the record meant she could tick an item off the bucket list she made after a health scare in 2022.

Wall told Guinness World Records it was an unforgettable experience and she was proud to have pushed herself to new limits.

The mother of two trained with a wider stance to stay balanced on the track.

Despite a small stumble during the run, she caught herself and finished in record time.
