Lawyer on fraud charge

A lawyer with an office in central Auckland is facing a charge of fraudulently converting assets of an estate in violation of his position as a trustee of the estate.

The lawyer has been granted name suppression in the Auckland District Court. It is understood he has yet to enter a plea.

The suppression was opposed by the Crown and there will be a hearing in two weeks into whether it continues.
