Launch crashes into rocks

The crew of a 7m launch put out a Mayday call yesterday after their vessel hit rocks off Urupukapuka Island in the outer Bay of Islands.

A number of boats went to help and the slightly damaged launch was towed into Opua.

None of the four people on board the launch was hurt.
