Large slip blocks Wellington road

A large slip has come down in Wellington.

The City Council said it came down on Manchester Street in the suburb of Newtown overnight, resulting in fallen trees, debris and damaged cables.

The left lane up the hill is blocked.

Council now have traffic control in place as contractors work to clear the slip.
