A man has been taken into custody after an incident in an inner-city Dunedin suburb.
Police said they were called to Helensburgh St in Wakari about 6pm today after reports of a man behaving erratically.
A witness told RNZ they saw nine police cars at the scene.
Officers cordoned off
a neighbouring house while they spoke with the man, whom they took into custody about 7.25pm, police said.
