A number of Labour MPs are to visit Wairarapa over the next few weeks in support of Labour candidate Kieran McAnulty's bid to become the region's MP at this year's election.
David Clark, Labour's spokesman for revenue and small business, will be visiting Wairarapa tomorrow.
Mr McAnulty and Dr Clarkwill be meeting the Martinborough Business Association in the morning and holding a public meeting in Masterton at 1pm, at the Wairarapa Services and Citizens Club.
Dr Clark, the MP for Dunedin North, will be outlining Labour's plan to assist small businesses, especially those in provincial areas.
He said Wairarapa was "certainly a seat to watch this year".
Other MPs due to visit Wairarapa in the next few weeks include Damien O'Connor (primary industries spokesman), Grant Robertson (economic development spokesman), Darion Fenton (tourism spokesman), Poto Williams (associate spokesman for social development) and Kris Faafoi (associate spokesman for Pacific Island affairs).
