Her comments come after a tumultuous week which brought the not guilty verdict on Macdonald, Scott's brother-in-law, who stood trial for his murder.
Mrs Guy said she loved her husband as dearly as she did when he was alive and the world she now lived in was "unfair and unbelievable".
The couple's sons Hunter, 4, and Drover, 21 months, had helped her move forward, she said.
"The boys and Scotty are my strength and the reason I get up each day.
"This is not the final chapter.
"We are not going to give up, we will do everything we can so that you can finally rest in peace."
A trust fund has been set up for Mrs Guy and her children, with the help of the Sensible Sentencing Trust.
Mrs Guy planned to mark the anniversary of her husband's death with the support of her family.
She said she had been overwhelmed by the messages and support she had received from people throughout New Zealand.
"There are no words to express my overwhelming gratitude and love to you all. You are all truly amazing and we will be forever grateful."
During the month-long trial, Mrs Guy gave emotional evidence - about how she and Scott met and fell in love, about their move to Feilding and about the day of his murder.
She told of the harrowing moments she and Hunter spent inside their home after the shooting -not knowing what had happened - and of how she was about to walk down the driveway when a police officer stopped her. Her husband's body lay at the end of the driveway after being shot by his killer, who hid in the darkness near a fence.
After the not guilty verdict was delivered on Tuesday, a devastated Mrs Guy shouted, "He killed my husband, he killed my husband," and left the court.
The Guy family have been silent since Scott's father, Bryan Guy, read a statement outside the High Court at Wellington after the acquittal.
He said the verdict left the family with "mixed emotions" because they were left wondering who killed Scott.
"It will not restore a husband to his wife. It will not restore a son and brother to his family."
Despite his acquittal, Macdonald remains behind bars in Manawatu Prison awaiting sentencing on charges he admitted at the time of his arrest.
In his final interview with police before being arrested, he admitted burning down an old house belonging to Scott and Kylee Guy and vandalising their new home with an axe and painting graffiti on the walls.
He has pleaded guilty to other charges, but the nature of those remains suppressed.
A sentencing date will be set when he appears in the Palmerston North District Court on July 31.
